ABOUT BIZZY BONE
This is Bizzy Bone, with 50 million records sold world-wide; Bryon Anthony McCane ll, most recognized by his stage name; in the genre of rap/ rock/ midwest hiphop & gangster rap, is the most prolific artist of the century. In 1981, at the age of five, Bizzy was abducted by his stepfather. He lived in many homes, apartments, cars and motels. In 1983, he was living at a reservation in Oklahoma where his stepfather had dropped him off. A neighbor saw his photo at the end of the made-for-TV movie, Adam and called the police, resulting in his return to his family. Despite this, his childhood remained difficult. His mother had married another man, and Bizzy's new stepfather physically abused him and his mother. In 1989, during this period he resorted to selling drugs in order to support his family. This came to an end when he met Layzie Bone, Krayzie Bone, Wish Bone and Flesh-n-Bone who all lived on the same street. He later appeared on the FOX series America's Most Wanted (hosted by John Walsh, Adam's father) in 2002, where he revealed his abusive childhood and molestation. Bizzy Bone started his solo career in 1998. He is best known for his style, combining rapid fire raps and double -sometimes triple- harmony choruses. His debut, Heaven'z Movie made it obvious that on his own he felt free to explore his psyche and to go to eccentric places. The critically acclaimed album received a positive reception from Bone Thug fans and made it to #3 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart and has been certified Gold by the RIAA. Bizzy Bone became an underground artist and began releasing albums with little or no marketing. The Gift, released on April 7, 2001, peaked at #2 on the US Billboard Independent Albums chart. Bizzy Bone is one of the most progressive vocalists of this century; known in his genre for being the fastest yet the most melodic, the most technical yet the most harmonic, the marks Bizzy has left in music are something that will always be loved.
Bizzy Bone of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony joined a celebrity cast on Monday, February 1, 2010, to record a remake of the 1985 version of “We Are The World,” which will benefit the country of Haiti after being devastated by the massive January 2010 earthquake. The re-recording
took place in Hollywood, California at Henson Recording Studios; ironically, this is the same location (then called A&M Recording Studios) where the original recording occurred 25 years ago on January 28, 1985.
Bizzy Bone is a multifaceted rapper/singer/producer/actor and writer
and is a supporter of various social groups including Project Clean up Ohio and was once affiliated with Russel Simmons' Hip Hop Action Summit in 2004.
Bizzy Bone started in hip-hop as a founding member of the group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony (B.O.N.E. Enterpri$e). This Cleveland-based crew first caught the ear of N.W.A. member Eazy-E. The Cleveland quartet is one
of the most important groups in hip-hop history. Their trademark double and triple-time sung/rapped harmonies brought something new to the table at a time when most acts were busy trying to imitate what was featured on Dr. Dre's The Chronic.
As a solo performer, Bizzy Bone is well known for his high-speed rhyme style and unique singing abilities. Continually writing and recording around the clock, he released his first solo album in 1998, the personal and introspective Heaven'z Movie. After receiving critical acclaim, Bizzy went on to write & release "The Gift" in 2001. Bizzy's work has been awarded by numerous respected groups, including an ASCAP Award, the Michael Jackson Soul Train Award, a Blockbuster Award, an American Music Award, and the NAACP - Back To School/Stay in School Youth Rally Award. He has become a member of Hip Hop's elite, collaborating with modern hip-hop legends such as Eazy-E, 2Pac, Notorious B.I.G. as well as Diddy and Snoop Dogg. The following year he appeared on the FOX series "America's Most Wanted". In 2004, he voluntarily began life as a homeless person and went on a journey that
changed his life. He began walking from his hometown of Cleveland throughout the state of Ohio for a little over half a year, giving
away virtually all of what little money he had left and living in bus stations. Bizzy has also made an appearance on the Maury Povich Show and performed his song "Jesus" for a disabled female fan, whose dream was to met Bizzy Bone.
